Context / Independent advisory encounter
After reading Gurachi Phoenix’s VNE newsletter exploring The Caravan Bazaar and cross-cultural narrative design, Hollywood visual-effects pioneer and executive Scott Ross invited Gurachi to weigh in on a feature screenplay.
The exchange carried an inquiry from its research setting into a working conversation about an existing narrative project.
The screenplay was considered through Visceral Narrative Environments (VNE): an approach concerned with how cultural perspectives, embodied encounters, character agency, and relationships contribute to the worlds stories create.
For Origatari, the encounter offers a first example of this research entering an independent creative advisory setting—not simply to correct cultural details, but to examine whose experience shapes a narrative, and how a shared world emerges between its characters.
